Meet Jim Cosper
His book was inspired by people living under the broad umbrella of FND, dystonia, and other complex conditions. Through his story, Jim hopes to raise awareness, encourage self-advocacy, and remind readers of the importance of education, family support, community, and hope. Above all, he wants others facing similar challenges to know they are not alone.
Jim Cosper is a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, FND advocate, and lifelong believer in perseverance. He enjoys gardening, photography, the outdoors, and cruising with his wife, Tammy, in their Ford Mustangs. As a longtime member of the Denver Mustang Club, he has served as Vice President, President, and Trustee. Today, one of his greatest passions is advocating for himself and others living with Functional Neurological Disorder.
Jim began writing as a way to process his emotions and help his family and friends understand what he was experiencing. After years of unexplained symptoms, changing diagnoses, medical appointments, treatments, and setbacks, he realized that sharing his journey could help others feel seen and understood.
